So here is the Mother’s Day Card. The base of the card was made by trimming a piece of A4 Pool Party cardstock. Cut off a piece 3/4 inches from the length and then trim to 9 1/2 inches long. Score at 5 7/8 inches on the long side. Lay your card out at shown so that the total length is 11 1/2 inches.
Cut two pieces of DSP 3 1/4 x 8 1/4 for the front of the card and 2 3/4 x 8 1/4 for the inside right. Ink around the edges of the paper and attach to the card.
Stamp 3 flowers using Lost Lagoon ink and the Bloom with Hope stamp (134435) and punch out using the fun flower punch (or trim by hand). Stamp and punch another 3 for the inside either using the same ink or a lighter shade (I used Pool Party)
on the reverse of the 3 flowers for the front, add glue to the edges of 4 of the petals (2 on each side)
Use the flowers to attach the side strip to the main card. Turn over and use the second set of three flowers on the reverse. They don’t match exactly as the petals are not symmetrical, but you can either leave to add a little dimension, or trim by hand.
I then stamped the central part of the flower another 3 times in Lost Lagoon and 3 times in Daffodil Delight. I punched the Lost Lagoon using the 7/8 scallop punch and the Daffodil Delight using the 1/2 inch circle. Layer these up using dimensionals.
Use the Hello You thinlets dies to cut ‘happy’ out of Daffodil Delight and use adhesive sheets or a quickie glue pen to adhere to the front of the card.
Stamp ‘mother’s day’ using Lost Lagoon on a scrap of whisper white card stock and trim into a flag at one end, glue onto a scrap of Pool Party cardstock and trim. Shape slightly and use a dimensional in the middle and a dab of glue at either end to give a slightly bowed effect.
Have a good week and enjoy your crafting.
